Vive la DS! Ugo Spagnolo Imagines the Duchesses’ 2019 Successor

Ask any French car fan what the most beautiful and technically advanced executive sedan of the 1950s was and most will reply, “The Citroen DS.” You only need to look at the styling of some of the DS’s competition – take the Alfa Romeo 1900 Ti, Austin A95 Westminster or BMW 501/6 for example – to see just how far ahead of its time it was.

Here was a car with a fully independent and auto-leveling suspension set up, front power disc brakes, power steering, a fiberglass roof and a hydraulically operated clutch and transmission. And the styling...

So if there’s any car worthy of a modern day revival, it’s the venerable DS. While studying at France’s Institut Superieur de Design, design student Ugo Spagnolo took on this challenge as part of his internship with Citroen.

With Spagnolo’s drawings at hand and the help of his friends at the institute, the 3D renders and animation were produced. It is said to have garnered favorable reviews from Citroen Styling Director Jean-Pierre Ploue.

Infusing the DS’s 64-year-old styling with the new Citroen design language introduced through concepts like the Revolt and Survolt, the DS24 is a real looker. With aggressive haunches, sliding rear doors, an almost Corvette-like nose and shapely rump, the Nouveau DS was imagined for Citroen’s Centenary in 2019.

And the interior does not fail to disappoint either, with its pulsing blue transmission tunnel suggesting the raw energy of the car’s hydrogen power source. Is it just me, or does that seem to be designer’s engine-of-choice these days?

Porsche 918 Spyder Concept - Most Beautiful Hybrid Car Of The Year

Porsche 918 Spyder Concept. This concept car is not only superior in its design the course, its ability to give off great energy drink with a bit of fuel is a very innovative breakthrough in the present.

We are sure there is something sensible to say about this concept Porsche, but we're not quite capable of coherent expression present. We want to own one of these so bad, we do not even care if it has an engine

. And boy has 918 Spyder has an engine. A 3.4-liter V8 gasoline engine with an electric burner to put out 500bhp engine, while the mind-altering acceleration from zero to 62 mph in just 3.2 seconds to go together. Topping out at 198 mph and offers a very respectable 78mpg fuel economy, it is largely the stuff dreams are made of, the natural, why should not we expect that it can be seen in any sale any time soon. If they do not want to see more of him, but you can have this at the Geneva Motor Show this year or shortly after the break election.

Citroen has constructed a coupe for gentlemen

Company Citroen has presented the conceptual sport compartment developed by the designer of hatchback DS3 by Mark Lloyd under the project of the editor of the British version of magazine GQ Dylan Jones which has tried to create own car of the future "for gentlemen".

The car shows a direction of development of design of the future models of the French brand, and also gives representation how the sedan 508 can look.

The all-wheel drive concept car "5 by Peugeot" will be equipped with the hybrid power-plant combining the 165-strong diesel engine in volume two litres and the 38-strong electromotor, located on a back axis.

According to company Peugeot, the average expense of fuel of a novelty makes 3,8 litres on hundred kilometres of run, and level of emissions CO2 is equal to 99 grammes on kilometre.
