Citroën C4 2.0 HDi Exclusive reviews

What is it?

The family hatchback market is very competitive in the best of times, but now it looks about as hard as it gets. Anticipating a possible alternative to the transition, we have only the ubiquitous VW Golf and Ford Focus new just around the corner, but the first time in a long time there is a credible alternative to the stylish Alfa Romeo as well.
Citroën C4 2.0 HDi 150 Exclusive (UK):In ride and handling terms, Citroën's priority was to deliver a comfortable and safe family car
So if the new Citroen C4 excel in a very busy and talented crowd, will have to be good. Here we test for the first time in Britain, equipped with the most powerful diesel engine (2.0-liter, 148bhp). And that's fine motor - on paper, not as torquey as VW or Ford 2.0-liter engine, but in fact, engaging, easy to use and impressively refined. The six-speed gearbox (the only option with this engine) is to improve the precision of previous generations of weak-C4, but it's not exactly what I would call positive.

How does it feel?

With regard to driving and handling, Citroen was a priority to comfortable and safe family car care, and nothing that could satisfy the enthusiast driver wants, that's very understandable. Even if you prefer to steer (weight pedals and electric power steering assist), more inspiring, there is no doubt that a stable car with good grip.
Citroën C4 2.0 HDi 150 Exclusive (UK):In ride and handling terms, Citroën's priority was to deliver a comfortable and safe family car
What is disappointing though comfort, while acceptable, is far from unique. In isolation, there is a lot of suspension and large smooth bumps and sharp edges, but when asked for a number of shots in quick succession to treat, or in combination with shear, the suspension was inadequate, resulting in poorly compensated primary direction or control setback.

Cockpit feel stronger and less gimmicky than previous architectures Citroën design and interesting solutions. There is sufficient time for the seat and steering wheel to adjust, but a large center console carries uncomfortably against his left leg.
But even in the car journey, better news. The rear dwelling is acceptable, while the rear doors (rear seat in place) to improve the Focus and Golf. This means that the assumption that you are not the optional Denon hi-fi upgrade (embedded here) to choose, making a hole in the fuselage.
Should I buy?
Citroën C4 2.0 HDi 150 Exclusive (UK):In ride and handling terms, Citroën's priority was to deliver a comfortable and safe family car
C4 2.0 HDI is only available in top spec Exclusive trim, the price of £ 21,495. Although buying more equipment as standard, it is a lot of awards from Citroen. Golf 2.0 GT TDI 140 is 21,380 pounds, the current Focus Titanium trim is £ 19,095, while £ 21,195 will buy a stronger Giulietta 2.0 JDTm, although in the mid-spec Lusso spec
Citroën C4 2.0 HDi 150 Exclusive (UK):In ride and handling terms, Citroën's priority was to deliver a comfortable and safe family car
As C4 was the only car you could ever manage to find something wrong with him because most standards is a good product. However, the market average class moved out just fine.
Citroën C4 2.0 HDi 150 Exclusive (UK):The cabin feels both more substantial and less gimmicky than previous Citroëns
Whether the Focus, Golf, Juliet, Hyundai i30 or Skoda Octavia, each has a compelling reason to recommend, and unfortunately a reality that for C4, boat to shore, it offers little to grab our attention. And even if the injury is more inclusive.

Citroën new DS3 Racing review

What is it?
The prototype drive earlier this year, the final production version of DS3 Racing. To avoid misunderstandings, despite racing the name suggests, this time by car. The reason for the name, DS3, R was designed and built a part of racing Lemon, who is responsible for the Citroen rally car was relatively successful.
With 150 as the basis DSport Racing uses the same 1.6-liter engine, but with the 204bhp turbocharged incited them (more than one prototype). Other changes include wider track width 30 mm, 15 mm lower ride height, larger front brakes.

Citroën DS3 1.6 THP Racing (Euro):The engine is noticeably stronger
Look scheduled test shots Citroen DS3 Racing Action
To ensure DS3 R, unlike a smaller version is only offered in two colors (black and orange, with white or gray), and the outside is decorated with carbon fiber. The result is a vision that is clearly not shy and reticent - and strictly speaking, only necessary parts are an extension of the wheel - but we can not imagine many people would love the DS3 seems to Rs.
Citroën DS3 1.6 THP Racing (Euro):The engine is noticeably stronger
Loans Citroen power to do their work well - because what you see is what you do - it's real carbon fiber. Complete the picture of the larger wheels and other brands.
How does it feel?
It may sound like an obvious statement, but evolution 150DSport, instead of transformation - that I, as a result of their travel experts Motorsports DS3 R feels like a completely different car.
But it's not a bad thing, since the standard car is one of our favorites. The engine is definitely stronger, but without any real compromise in low-end response and a modified exhaust sound enthusiastic.
Citroën DS3 1.6 THP Racing (Euro):The engine is noticeably stronger
The control unit is also better. It will rival the best hydraulic setup, but the electrical system is actually quite good, but still a bit light, with a consistent weight of the lock and there is good reason to feel. What is useful because if the conditions that we face during our tests (wet and slippery) you want to know what happens on the front axle.

With a 215/40R18 tire has good grip and Racing stiffer springs and a wider track, a relatively small role and a good body control. However, R DS3 struggle for traction - which is understandable 203lbft moment, but it is what happens when treatment goes beyond the date which is somewhat disappointing.
Citroën DS3 1.6 THP Racing (Euro):The engine is noticeably stronger
DS3 R Limited Slip Differential or smart Revo-knuckle style suspension, which means that from time to time to gain momentum to run on the other hand, spin the wheel and under control. We do not expect full traction under all circumstances, but perhaps a few other ways to manage it. With DS3 R or you can ESP, which is a bit cautious, or slot ESP hero (something you can do that here, unlike other DS3s) and living with the coating.

A second warning, driving at low speeds, the company - not to create problems in our cozy, testing, but perhaps in the United Kingdom. No complaints with the brakes themselves, which is great for this size car, and no shortage of power.
Should I buy?
All in all a good hot hatch, it's fast, agile, fun and definitely attractive. Whether the problems are not as good as the efforts of the Clio Cup will depend on what you need.
Certainly R DS3 is better appointed cabins. In truth, we doubt that the Clio and R DS3 will appeal to different buyers, and certainly the various portfolios. £ 23,100 Citroen takes more than £ 6,000 more than the regular Renault and DS3.
Citroën DS3 1.6 THP Racing (Euro):The engine is noticeably stronger
Confrontation relative exclusivity, only 200 (of total production in 2000) DS3 Rs come in Britain, and the fact JCW Mini will cost £ 21,875. The real solution is that carbon fiber, DS3, R is obviously more expensive car for production and DS3 current popularity, Citroën believes that demand will keep prices high. Despite some reservations, I doubt that it's wrong.

New Citroën C4 2.0 HDi Exclusive review

Citroën company, too late, it seems to rediscover their mojo. Revised C5 was generally well received and C3 something better than that. As for the DS3, not enough to build Lemon meet demand, that's a luxury problem, it is possible that in this sector.
Citroën C4 2.0 HDi 150 Exclusive (UK):Exclusive spec includes front parking sensors mounted discreetly and very low down on front grille Therefore, hope rides on the new C4. And well it should be: when it goes on sale in Britain at the beginning of a new year, will not only face the best of the original Volkswagen Golf, but all new Ford Focus, which in theory would be tough competitor to prove that we could imagine.
Citroën C4 2.0 HDi 150 Exclusive (UK):Exclusive spec includes front parking sensors mounted discreetly and very low down on front grille
It is the car that will be another family DS, DS4, spun, and when DS3 difficult to sub-brand a better start in life, his achievements should be based on whether the series should not be seen as a single trick pony.

2010 Citroen Lacoste Concept Cars The Car of The Future

Two names, Citroën and Lacoste, have come together to be unveiled at the forthcoming Paris Motor Show, this new model is an emblem for a state-of-mind and a lifestyle. Clearly alluding to leisure and pleasure, it takes a simplified, no-nonsense approach to motoring - without forgetting refinement - and transports passengers to a lighter, fresher world.

At the crossroads of motoring, fashion and sport, the Citroën Lacoste concept cars is a “shared vision of boldness, creativity and optimism” between the French brands, according to the pre-Paris press release. At first glance, the Citroën Lacoste concept appears to be a very optimistic car indeed, as it doesn't have a roof to mitigate the inevitability of a bleak French winter. 2010 Citroen Lacoste Concept Cars The Car of The Future.
Pure, simple and laid-back, while remaining sophisticated, the Citroën Lacoste takes another step forward towards the car of the future - a vehicle aimed at putting an end to the "always more" mantra that often reigns in the automotive industry.
The new model also fuels Citroën's thinking of focusing on the essentials to create original cars that are affordable and economical, while losing none of their ambition or motoring passion, notably through premium styling.
Stylishly minimalist and elegantly laid-back, the Citroën Lacoste instantly attracts with its off-beat sports aesthetic. It features a high waistline; bulging and textured wings; minimum overhangs front and rear; and golf ball-style alloy wheels, placed in the furthest corners of the body. After a longer inspection, it is this car's "open" physique that appeals - promising a fulfilling drive, while expressing a wealth of inventiveness and elegance.
Powering the concept uses a small three-cylinder petrol engine with “plenty of performance on tap” according to the press release, as the compact (3.45 m long, 1.80 m wide, 1.52 m high and with a 2.30 m wheelbase) vehicle should be quite light, which, as per the brand, offers enough power to a vehicle of this size and weight

Among the other styling details there are golf ball-style alloy wheels, a square relief design resembling the sections of a tennis net on many parts of the car, integration of the lights into the bumper instead of the sheet metal and Lacoste covered stowage in its dashboard and under the two bench seats.
The concept cars will be showcased at the Paris Motor Show on 30th Sep, 2010.
